The Express Software Identification Database is a comprehensive database that enables Express products to quickly identify the applications installed and used in your environment. The ESID is updated regularly and posted to the Express Metrix web site for download by all Express Metrix customers who have a current subscription to the Express Maintenance Plan.

The ESID included in the Express Software Manager evaluation download is from October 31, 2007 (version 110.9.1). It recognizes the majority of software applications and associated support files, however, it may not recognize the most recent product releases from software manufacturers. If you are evaluating Express Software Manager, you can request an ESID update to ensure you have the latest application definitions during your evaluation.
